hours of tango per week - is there a minimum or maximum?
I have just entered the tango community and I watch in wonderment!!!!!!!!!! There are people who take it so seriously that they dance almost every day, have all their friends from tango, and are immersed in it like fish in water, There are people that do it maybe one a wek, even less. And anywhere in between?
Obviously there is no real minimum or maximum, but I would like to get some discussion started - is there too little or too much? Can you be too obsessed? Is dancing too few hours a week basically not enough to progress your skills?
Ideas from others would be appreciated!!!!

That's a really good question.
With regards to progressing your skills, definitely there is too little. I think you need at least one lesson and one dance, at a minimum, to advance.
In terms of doing TOO much that's very contentious. Tango is fundamentally a positive thing, construction, great for the soul!!!!!! So on that basis it is very hard to argue there is too much. Sure, some people take it very seriously and immerse themselves in to the point where you would would call it addiction. But it's like addiction to exercise - a POSITIVE addiction.
